VOX Mental Health Invests in the Next Generation Through Legacy Acrobatics Barrie

At VOX Mental Health, we believe that supporting young people means investing in more than their physical development, it means nurturing confidence, resilience, self-worth, and emotional well-being.

That's why we were proud to sponsor Legacy Acrobatics' Student Athlete Sponsorship Program and provide a complimentary Girls Self-Esteem Workshop for young athletes in the program.

Supporting the Whole Athlete

Competitive sports teach discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and goal-setting. But they can also bring unique pressures related to performance, comparison, perfectionism, and self-confidence; particularly for young girls navigating important stages of personal development.

Through our partnership with Legacy Acrobatics, we wanted to help create space for conversations that often don't happen in training environments: how athletes see themselves, how they respond to setbacks, and how they build confidence that extends beyond sport.

Building Confidence Beyond Competition

As part of our sponsorship, VOX Mental Health hosted a free self-esteem workshop focused on helping young athletes:
- Develop a healthy sense of self-worth
- Navigate comparison and social pressures
- Build confidence both inside and outside of sport
- Understand the connection between mindset and performance
- Develop tools for resilience and emotional well-being

Our goal was simple: to give these athletes practical skills they can carry with them long after the competition season ends.

Why Mental Health Matters in Youth Sports

Mental health is just as important as physical training. When young athletes have the tools to manage stress, build confidence, and maintain a positive relationship with themselves, they are better equipped to thrive both in their sport and in their everyday lives.
Investing in mental health early helps young people develop lifelong skills that support healthy relationships, academic success, leadership, and personal growth.

Investing in Our Community

We are grateful to Legacy Acrobatics for recognizing the importance of mental wellness and for creating opportunities that support the development of the whole athlete. At VOX Mental Health, we remain committed to partnering with local organizations that prioritize the well-being of young people and strengthen the communities we serve.

Because confidence isn't built solely through achievement- =it's built through connection, support, and knowing your value both on and off the mat.
